Reach the desk

The editorial desk reads everything that arrives, and it answers the messages it can answer usefully. Below is what to send where, and what will get a polite refusal.

How to get in touch

Contact addresses are published in the site footer and in the page metadata rather than inline, which keeps them out of the worst of the scraping traffic.

What the desk can help with

What the desk cannot help with

Some requests arrive often enough to be worth answering here.

Response times

This is a small desk. Corrections are prioritised, and everything else is answered when there is time. If a message goes unanswered for a fortnight, sending it again is reasonable rather than rude.

Before you write

A good share of incoming questions are already answered on the site. If your question is about what the instrument is, start with the basics; if it is about legality, the regulatory pages cover the EU, the UK and the US separately, because the answers genuinely differ.
