Who we are
OptionLens exists to answer one narrow question properly: what is a fixed-time or binary option, and what is a platform actually selling when it offers you one? Most of the material a curious reader finds online is either a promotional page written by the operator or a warning page written by someone who wants the whole category banned. Neither explains the instrument.
What this site covers
The site is built around Pocket Option because it is one of the clearest examples of a binary-first broker still operating openly, and because the question "is Pocket Option binary options?" is asked constantly and answered badly. From that starting point the site branches out into the mechanics of the instrument, how peers such as Quotex, IQ Option, Olymp Trade and ExpertOption position themselves, and how regulators in the EU, the UK and the US have treated the product.
- Explainers on what the instrument is and how a trade settles.
- Product and mechanics pages: payouts, expiries, underlying assets.
- Comparisons with rival platforms and with adjacent products such as forex and share dealing.
- Regulatory context, stated as the regulators themselves state it.
- Risk material that does not get softened for commercial reasons.
Who writes it
Editorial responsibility sits with Teodor Radulescu, Derivatives Desk Editor. Every page on the site carries that byline because one person is accountable for what it says. Corrections go through the same desk, and a page that turns out to be wrong gets changed rather than quietly deleted.
How the material is researched
Claims about a platform's product line come from that platform's own public pages. Claims about regulation come from the regulator's own published measures. Where a figure could not be confirmed against a durable source, it is written as a qualitative band or left out entirely, which is why you will not find payout percentages, minimum deposits or bonus amounts stated as fact anywhere on this site. Those numbers change, they vary by asset and by account, and a stale number in an explainer is worse than no number.
What this site does not do
- No testing claims. This is a reading desk, not a test lab. Nobody here will tell you they measured a payout or timed a withdrawal.
- No signals, no strategies, no advice. Nothing published here is a recommendation to trade, and no page will tell you what a given instrument will do next.
- No promises about money. Fixed-payout products carry a structural edge in the operator's favour. That is stated plainly wherever it is relevant, including on pages that also explain why people find the product appealing.
- No scare copy. A high-risk product is described as a high-risk product, not as a fraud.
Independence
OptionLens is not owned by, operated by or speaking for Pocket Option or any other platform named on the site. Where a commercial relationship exists, it is described on the partner disclosure page. Anything time-sensitive should still be verified on the operator's or regulator's own pages before you act on it.
